This house in situated an agricultural village dating from 1939 has been completely stripped and renovated to acoomodate a family of 6.
The house is wonderfully located at the bottom of the dyke of the river IJssel.
From the first flor there are phenomenal view to the river forelands. This inspired me to locate the living quarters on the first floor, instead of traditionally on the ground floor. By creating a void there is still visual and real contact between the kitchen on the ground floor. Small hayloft windows were cut out to create french balnconies.
The bedrooms are situated in the front part of the house, with the possibility in time to turn them into a bed and breakfast when the children have moved out.
